If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I eat loads of pre-cooked, frozen, “at home” stuff like this So when I say this is bad I mean it. My first issue is the effort. These big sharing platters always sound like a good idea, but when you actually cook them you’ve got different trays, different timings, turning things, glazing things it turns into a full hour in the kitchen. At that point what’s the benefit? You might as well just cook something fresh or order takeout Now, price-wise for the amount of food, £20 isn’t outrageous. You’re paying a bit extra for the TGI name which is industry standard. But that only works if the quality backs it up. And this is where it falls apart. Even cooking it properly, even trying to get the best out of it the quality just isn’t there and that’s coming from someone who eats a lot of this kind of product. That’s what’s frustrating. TGI Fridays used to be the place you’d go for this kind of food. Now eating in is expensive, so moving into “at home” makes total sense but if this is the standard, it’s not helping the brand it’s dragging it down. I don’t like doing negative reviews but this one genuinely annoyed me. I had high hopes for it and I wouldn’t recommend it. Thank you for listening to my ted talk 😂 #productreview
