The reality is these are just surface level examples of MANY MANY stories that still have not been told that are (in my opinion) WAY WORSE. And I do believe specific leaders hold great responsibility for these unfortunate circumstances. And I wish others with power could be held accountable and stop being praised like they could never do no wrong.

You made me feel better about never having the chance to dance in a studio with real teachers. I had to teach myself, alone in my garage. I’m no where near a professional even with all the years of practice without instruction or counts, but I am proud of my progression and determination

Thank you for sharing! First off you’re so talented you’ve always been and so sweet! You’re lovely BJ! Yes, I had to step away from the dance industry as well so toxic. But I love dancing and I’ve been able to reconnect with it. I take out a studio with people who aren’t professionals and just love dancing and it’s so healthy and liberating.
