Where does he work that people ‘obey’ their bosses? Must be a crap job. Certainly I don’t expect my team to ‘obey me’; they contribute ideas, challenge me and shape the direction of work. I have the same dynamic with my boss too. It’s not a miserable military boot camp of obedience and following orders.
