@npsgirl: MTA spent millions of dollars to install new Modern Fare Subway Turnstile Gates to combat fare evasion in New York City and I figured out a way to get around them. #mta #mtanyc #subway #fareevasion #modernfaregate

ReviewQ070 :

They should just make it 50 cents , they’d still make a ton of money

zellme04 :

Public transport should be FREE

TheRealMitchDanielNummer :

It cost more for them to put them in that it would’ve cost to make public transit free

Dick Buttcheek :

I suddenly feel extremely fatigued

julian :

Does New York have no monthly or annual tickets?

Chad :

Or you could just pay your fare… the fatigue is beyond real

Jersey & Piper :

but i want to walk around with a stuffed animal on elastic whatever

Filthy Panda#499 :

Imagine thinking this is a flex.

inkynightowl :

To those who gripe about fare evasion. The MTA doesn’t need to make a profit and shouldn’t need to - it’s a public service!

lorenzkoch5 :

well well well

W G :

she looks proud of this..

CodyShol🌷🐯 :

For those who don’t understand why it’s not free. It’s because it cost 21.3 billion per year to operate the NYC MTA. If they make it free to ride won’t change the fact it still costs 21.3 billion a year New York already has a 12 billion dollar budget deficit. They would need to dramatically increase taxes to cover the cost.

sogalicious :

Crazy how they can afford to install these everywhere but not lower the fare

Kingofbans920 :

or just pay

TheWizenedRoot :

and throwing a money roll did what exactly

user2914691441011 :

why don’t they just make it more affordable so more ppl buy tickets…….

CasualTalks :

The fare is like $3 what is wrong with ppl

Godbgood25 :

lol so many people work so hard to do the wrong thing. When doing the right thing takes so little effort

TorontoDowntown🇨🇦🇮🇹✈️🌎🏖 :

all of this for 3.00

Wimbo Sailor :

“Public transport should be free!” Who’s gonna pay the sanitation crew? Who’s going to pay the drivers/engineers? Who’s going to pay for fuel costs? Who’s going to pay for electrical output? Who’s going to pay for maintenance? Who’s going to pay for planning? Who’s going to pay for manufacturing?

Hardworking :

just buy a ticket 🤨

totalsxok4m :

over 3 dollars is embarrassing

Rompastompa :

the exhaustion

ykyallloveme0 :

Wait where the money go
