@danielalovesthelab: While most urinary crystals are normal and/or are artifact, detecting their presence is important. Some clinical conditions, such as kidney stones, are directly associated with Crystalluria-presence of crystals in the urine. Decreased hydration can also promote crystal formation/kidney stones…so make sure you’re drinking your water!
I suffer with gout, would this manifest in urine also, or only on joint fluids?

Kidney stones-or the possibility-was my first guess. I’ve had 2. One in each kidney exactly 10 years apart. Passed both with little issue. Full of calcium.

I’m on Augmentin for a dental infection but my kidneys have been pretty irritated like I can feel the flank pain can that cause too much crystals in my kidneys to be released into my urine

Working in vet med, we worry about male felines with high crystal counts because they are prone to life-threatening urinary obstructions.

Hey, could you do a video some point on the abnormal WBC inclusions (such as dohle bodies, pappenheimer bodies, may hagglin anomaly, etc)? I have a heme test coming up and am having a hard time keeping them straight lol

I have a picture of crystals I found in my urine (vet tech here) I’m worried but can’t see a doctor till tomorrow. Are you up for taking a look at the picture and letting me know if I’m dying or not! 😅
