It’s not the workers fault at all, but the way corporations have replaced customer service with self service technology can be frustrating. Like why am I giving more Wendy’s drive thru order to a robot? Just let me talk to a person.

I get the skit but the list of questions and prompts required on keypad at a lot of stores has gotten ridiculous. I don’t want to take a survey, I don’t want your store credit card. Just show how much I owe so I can swipe and go.

yeah it is super depressing I heard they stopped teaching phonics in a bunch of schools. currently many kids are not learning phonics so they know how to read instead they're memorizing what letters look like together and guessing the words.

Yeah I remember being super annoyed that someone kept asking me to list things we had while holding a menu until I realized they were pretending to read it. Changed my emotion real fast.

It’s training - I train and I have to constantly tell my trainee greet. The customer say hi. Ask him if they found everything comment on the weather or something recognized them and then when the total is done, I tell them to give the final total to the customer if they wanted to pay on the machine, that’s fine if they don’t then count what they give you counter change back to them old school I usually say and then that’s out of 20 3040 whatever amount they give me and always count back change

Tried to order with der Weinerschitel, they had an ai to order in the drive through. It did not like my voice, so I had to go to the drive through window to order. Made the whole transaction extra long.
