Move slower and it gets confused if you start on a stud so if you get a bad signal move over a few inches then push the button.

put on wall, press button, no sound should come out until stud is found. A continuous tone = error ooooor the stud never ends.

You know you don’t press the button while looking for studs. Right?click it once to turn on and then slide around with out pressing button
