@drhidef: Recovery Shouldn’t Hurt Like That 😖 Recovery shouldn’t be miserable and we take pain control seriously! There’s been a trend of avoiding pain medication, but the reality is these tools exist to help you heal comfortably and safely. The key is using them appropriately and in a personalized way. We create a custom pain and nausea management plan for each patient, using a combination of approaches—not just one solution 👇 • Not withholding Narcotic pain meds • Muscle relaxers such as Valium • Long-acting numbing options like Zynrelef, which can provide relief for up to 2–3 days after surgery • Anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen or toradol • Anti-nausea medications to keep you feeling your best Our goal is simple: minimize discomfort so your body can focus on healing 🔥 Pain shouldn’t hold you back from your recovery or your results—we’re here to support you every step of the way 💙✨ #mommymakeover #trending #liposuction #tummytuck #cosmeticsurgery
Hello Doctor, I had a tummy tuck, liposuction, and muscle repair about seven months ago. I feel generally well, but I still have numbness below my belly button and cannot feel sensation (e.g., a pinch). Is this normal at this stage, and how long does it usually take for sensation to return?

Why did this just sell me on you so hard? I have been looking at different surgeons and my biggest concern was pain control and recovery. I had a previous procedure and they gave me 3 days of Toradol and I have never been so miserable. I swore I would never have anything else done again. But here I am..hopeful. 😁

I am 6 1/2 weeks postop and it is essential that you stay up on the pain meds the first few days. There’s no award for being able to handle the most pain. Take your meds.!!!

My surgeries were on 4-9 with Dr Deal (Hidef) and they did an amazing job of addressing my history of significant nausea following surgery- I didn’t experience any- zero. As for narcotics, I’m day 10 post op and have plenty of pain meds left-am thankful!!

Weird question. Can a tummy tuck help with nerve pain around c section scar/apron belly area? Also, would that make a new scar more susceptible to the same issue?

After having surgery with another doctor I was really left with very poor pain management and was terrified about my next (corrective) procedure. Not only did I have amazing results I had amazing pain control. Not one time was my pain poorly managed! I love this group of wonderful providers. I felt like my comfort was very important to them every step of the way.

What about Exparel? I really feel like that is what kept me from needing to take the narcotics I was given.
