Every country owns 22 kilometers of the water body counted from their shores. The strait is 24 kilometers at narrowest. So Irans and Omans water territories overlap. The strait belongs to Iran and Oman and can be fully open, perhaps against charges. The US is NOT involved in the strait in any way, and better stop their international terrorist actins and get lost to the other side of the world where they belong.
