This happened a year ago and that restaurant has been permanently shut down. There was backlash after they posted that sign. Please make another video discussing this and bringing awareness and asking the public what they think about it. So people know that such discrimination will not be tolerated.

If a business publicly posts signs such as “No Japanese” or “No people from a certain country,” it would usually involve serious human rights and anti-discrimination legal issues, and could lead to complaints, fines, lawsuits, and major public backlash. Especially in Ontario, Canada, under the principles of the Ontario Human Rights Commission, places that provide services cannot discriminate against customers based on race, ancestry, ethnic origin, or place of origin.

I prefer follow my Japanese hubby way. He eat very tidy, after finish eat in restaurant he tidy up the dishes , chopsticks, tissue all the put aside . This show respect and appreciation to the restaurant . I always follow what he did.

But I am a small eater and have small appetite. I can’t finish all of my food and the restaurant require one person to at least order 1 dish, no sharing of food is allowed 😥😥😥😥 ended up I can’t finish my food. It’s not like don’t value their food or etiquette 😢😢😢

I love the 'national saint' narrative interviewees push. They talk about Japanese culture like it’s a monolith of perfection, but if you been to Japan, I’m certain your own eyes tell a different story. It’s impressive how one person’s hallucination can be sold as a national practice.
