Another question would be how did he get so lost that he ended up that far away when he was around so many landmasses that he could’ve accidentally rowed to in the direction of north east and south. And if the current was so strong for Lynette, it would’ve pushed him in the same direction as Lynette and the life preserver that was located not in the complete opposite direction 5 miles away in a straight line.

This timeline is just not adding up, especially for him being an ex marine. Additionally if you go back far enough on their profiles, you can see that they scuba dive regularly, which means just like people close to Lynette have said she was a great swimmer.

I think they should tell him he’s free to leave the Bahamas (and catch him before he’s able). He said in a statement that he won’t leave until she’s found… but if they give him permission and he tried to split, that’s very telling (obv not hard evidence but narrows down the suspicions)
