@sourmimosa: After surviving -30°C in Harbin, we thought -10°C or -15°C in Seoul would be easy. We packed light, underestimated the wind, and told ourselves we were built for this. We were not 😭 The cold felt sharper somehow, especially up at the ice village and while skiing at Vivaldi Park Ski World. And to make it worse, my ankle was already injured from Manila… then I fell during skiing. So instead of fully exploring, I was limping around and trying to survive both the weather and my ankle. Not exactly the winter athlete storyline I imagined. Still, coming back to South Korea after 12 years felt special. Even though I only managed the National Museum of Korea, some skiing, and a night out in Itaewon, it reminded me why I love this country. Next time I am coming back stronger, fully healed, and properly layered. Maybe summer or autumn, when I can finally visit the palaces, explore more shops, and discover more cool hangout spots without freezing or falling.
