the recommendation for teens is 0-100mg of caffeine. even if she had just 1 alani a day, thats an od on caffeine. adults have a limit of 400mg, which means 2 alani’s a day is safe for most people. she was a teenage, a child, she shouldnt have had any alani’s.

people saying alani isn’t responsible, but they are!!! yeah it said it on the label, it also says teens shouldn’t be vaping or drinking on those labels. the point is the media glorifies it and targets teens and young adults. social media, INCLUDING alanis social media and PR is complicit in promoting energy drinks to a young audience.

It’s still not the fault of Alani. They have the words “Energy” all over their cans. They also disclose the amount of caffeine 3 times all over their cans. They also label a user notice those who are pregnant, kids, caffeine sensitive, etc.

I think energy drinks should be ID’d and have bigger warnings, more regulation. caffeine is a substance and an addictive one. It’s sad what happened, I wish people weren’t so disgustingly cruel on the internet.

Yeah 2 in one day is incredibly bad still. It’s 200mg of caffeine in one can and the recommended max amount of caffeine for minors is less than 100mg. I do believe the company should have their warnings and labels larger but I also believe the parents are partly responsible as well for not teaching their daughter the dangers of energy drinks. In reality it’s just a terrible situation all around that hopefully prevents other people from making the same mistake and brings awareness how bad energy drinks really are. People calling the young girl dumb or anything rude is just awful. She was a kid and let’s be fr no one expects 2 energy drinks to kill you. May she rest in peace.
