I think it’s because of the identity crisis of the program itself Ma’am. Kasi Electronics Engineer and Communications Engineer ka in one. Altho, we know na we study elecs and apply it to coms. Pero parang ang broad padin kasi pakinggan. What if we focus only in electronics system/devices designing or semiconductor engineering. Or sa communications nalang mag focus. Kasi sa new name natin ngayon na “Electronics Engineering” people would expect na sa electronics tayo focus when in truth specialized din tayo sa communications.

Hi mam..I am one of your former students from USTP where I took up BS CpE. I am currently working in the IT industry, where I’ve noticed that many Network Engineers /System Engineers/Network Architect come from BS Electronics Engineering, BS IT, and CpE. This made me wonder if some students might choose BS IT as a more practical path into this field instead of taking BS ECE, which is more lisud ug daghan math..Perhaps din mam one reason is the limited industry opportunities specifically for Electronics Engineering graduates here in the Philippines, leading many of them to shift into networking roles that are also accessible IT graduates.

For me mostly yung board exam. Tayo lang yung 70-70-70 ang passing. Also konti lang yung nag oopen ng field natin na salary competent kaya napupunta sa IT field na di na nila need mag take ng boards

karamihan kasi sa ece napunta lang sa Software development, web development, dih natin sila masisi kasi kulang ang market job sa embedded system, kaya yung iba ng shift nalang sa IT
