Cops LOVE to say, “here’s the deal”. So, here’s the deal: the typical cop graduated high school in the bottom 40% of his class. He was likely picked on. He either joined the military for two years or kicked around community college for 30 credits. By the time he was 21 years old, he has pretty much nothing accomplished. Nothing. He goes to an academy for a few weeks then joins a Thin Blue Line where his mentors are just as uneducated. More experienced on the job, but mostly good ol boy bs. They lead all occupations in divorce rates, domestic abuse, alcohol and prescription drug abuse, and many have more serious crimes— and these are the documented cases! Most of their crimes are swept under the rug by their fellow gang members and their union (organized crime). They are NOT good citizens, in general. They definitely aren’t our brightest! Now, the “good apples”? Almost every single one has seen countless “bad apples” commit crimes and violations of policies and they say NOTHING! They are in a gang. I feel bad for and truly respect the very few who stay above it and speak out. It is rare.
