Ok well the thing with that is that, in 1912 the light pollution was significantly lower than it is now in 2026. Also they were in the middle of a huge ocean, late at night, I’m very certain that they could’ve seen a LOT of stars. The stars definitely provided a good amount of light, along with the moon. Also the light would’ve reflected on the waves. I’m sure it was a lot darker than it’s portrayed in the movie, but it wouldn’t have been pitch black.
