If this is the first video of mine that landed on your screen, here’s the backstory 👋 I’m Logan. I’m 29, live in Denver, played college soccer, and have spent most of my life bouncing between sports, fitness, travel, building businesses, chasing adventures, and generally having a hard time sitting still 😂 Even though my college soccer days ended years ago, I never really gave it up. I’ve continued playing competitively throughout my twenties, which occasionally creates a problem when my brain decides I’m still 19 and my body strongly disagrees. This summer, it finally caught up with me. I tried to hit a high-speed juke against a defender, my body went one way, my left leg went another, and that was all she wrote 😭🥴 Complete ACL tear. Damaged medial meniscus. There’s plenty of debate around whether ACL surgery is necessary, and everyone’s situation is different. But when I looked at everything I still want to do with my life, the decision for me was pretty clear. I still want to run marathons and ultramarathons. Hike mountains and volcanoes. Ski and snowboard. Travel the world. Play sports. Try new things. And continue being the guy who usually says “yes” when an adventure presents itself. So I chose ACL reconstruction with a BTB patellar tendon autograft and a medial meniscus repair. For me, this recovery isn’t really about getting back to where I was. It’s about building myself back so I can keep doing all of those things for a long time. Right now, ACL recovery is a pretty big part of my life — but it’s only one part of it. I’m documenting the recovery, fitness, travel, adventures, wins, failures, dumb ideas, things I learn, and whatever comes next 😂 If you’re dealing with an ACL injury, another injury, or just working your way through a setback of your own, send me a DM and say hello. If you have questions about anything I’ve gone through so far, ask away. And if you want to see where all of this goes, follow along 🫡 #acl #injury #aclsurgery #comeback #athlete
