I was talking to a Korean girl on a language app, I sent her a picture of where I was sitting at the beach. I caught an ibis in it. She responded with “wow what kind of bird is that! It’s beautiful “ 😂

When my boyfriend moved to Aus from Slovenia, I took him to our local wildlife sanctuary. At the end of the day I asked what was his favorite animal and he said “the beautiful white bird” and I realised he was talking about the ibis, they weren’t even an exhibit, they were just in the bins 😭

I never understood why theyre such a nuisance in Australia because in Florida we have ibis too but they dont have any bad reputation or anything theyre just the same as any other birds 😂

Went to a zoo in Germany and they had raccoons and gray squirrels. I’m from Tennessee those are our yard critters

There’s an exhibit in the zoo of my hometown that has raccoons in it and he always makes me giggle.

I don't understand how people see animals as less than interesting just bc they're common. Like the Cape May zoo has deer, PA's state animal is the white tailed deer, I still like looking at them even when I see them walking on the side of the road.

how do I get on Ibis PR Team 😂 I adore them! They're only "bin chickens" in places where we've used up their natural space. Out in regional Vic they thrive in wetlands and are happy and cute and peaceful ! Team Ibis! haha

In Japan some of the most popular zoo animals are Raccoons. Here in the US they are seen as slightly cuter rats 😂

Went to an aquarium in New Mexico that had a seagull exhibit. Which is wild bc you can find them at any Walmart parking lot where I live.
