well said .. do u know if there's a system I could get financial help to leave the UK .. I was born in the UK I'm a teacher and lecture at a uni in sciences etc .. I feel uncomfortable staying here now .. so is there away

That’s the permission that I have Leave to Enter). I’ve been here 40 years on it. I’m a commonwealth citizen so I have all the rights of citizenship, but I recently bought the citizenship test books. It’s crazy.

I know someone who has beeb in the UK since 1989 has businesses (two and both successful), employs approx 80 people, has a property portfolio of private rentals plus commercial - the latter leasing to local businesses. He is on an indefinite leave to remain visa - his wife his British and his kids have UK passports - I am not sue Reform understand the impact - again a cheap headline to rile up their base - but no deep understanding.

A government needs a large majority to be able to enact laws in this way, and Reform can never have such majority. They can do a coalition, but that would be so fragmented that such serious decisions will be difficult to agree. Recall Brexit. So it is almost impossible for their chitchats to become reality.

they are not removing the possibility to get citizenship. people will be able to apply for working visas to be in the country to work leading to application for citizenship do some research

We both agreed hubby who is British & I French to leave the uk and move to Mauritius 🇲🇺 if Reform wins the general election. Not because as a European & not holding dual citizenship could lead to being deported but because of dramatical economic impact. We are in the process of buying a property in the uk 🇬🇧. And France 🇫🇷 is out of question with as Hubby would need to apply for a visa.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The British people are so fickle they’ll vote for Reform today and then change their minds in a couple of years. Thats the way with Boris Johnson’s huge majority here one minute and gone the next; or Brexit or the transitory support the Green Party is now getting. Why, I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone wants Prince Andrew’s titles restored in a few years
