I just wanna put it out there, the word Conservative isn't meant in a political context. It's used to imply that the higher up was a stickler for traditional jujutsu norms.

do people not realize conservatism in jjk is a direct parallel to conservatism in politics and is suppose to be a commentary on it? why are people in the comments acting like the two are so vastly seperate in their definitions?

kokoo :
Conservatives in JJK ≠ Political Conservatives.
Both are about preserving traditions, just that in JJK they want to preserve the existing technique. They can be socially liberal, just conservative in the way Jujutsu should be practiced.

Conservatism In Jujutsu Kaisen, is not the same in real life lol. conservatism refers to strict, old leaders who control everything and resist change, often punishing people who don’t follow their rules, so when Kinji Hakari fights them, it’s really about rebelling against a controlling and outdated system, not real politics lol. Real world conservatism is just a political belief focused on preserving traditions and stability and isn’t inherently corrupt or villainous, so the difference is basically dat JJK uses conservatism as a symbol of oppressive authority, while in real life it’s simply one way of thinking about how society should function.
