for the people that is saying “well it’s her fault the light was yellow.” please never drive. Why would anyone assume the car in front of you is going to go through a yellow light. When i drive and i see a car in front of me and the light turns yellow i immediately let off my gas a bit because im not going to assume they are gonna go thru the yellow light.

even if the light were green and let's say a pedestrian darted out causing dash cam car to brake... second driver would still be at fault. you have a duty to drive with enough space to brake in an emergency

Yes the light was yellow but it turned red as soon as they stopped and that truck was in the middle of the road and needed to turn also. You never assume someone is gonna go through a yellow

Y'all stopped way too fast, she barely had time to press her breaks to begin with. I think y'all are in the wrong. The driver should have started slowing down BEFORE getting to that line.

you accelerate and brake based off the PHYSICAL OBJECT in front of you, not the light. If the car in front of you stops while it's still yellow or about to turn red, you are supposed to stop too.

even if it was green it would be the fault of the car behind them.. there are all sorts of reasons to come to a stop on a road.. you're supposed to drive with enough space and pay attention enough that you can react if someone stops unexpectedly.
