I’m excited for this story! There is medium spoilers btw. Also this will be a hot take but: Kim Suji stories are very psychological and angst; even when this new manhwa setting is 200 years earlier… I am not getting the medieval vibes from background or the sleeves?! it gives way too much Renaissance . Spoon relied too heavily on generic or pre-made backgrounds and other elements that don't fit the dark, heavy, psychological tone of the story. It feels a bit childish, especially when she tries to lighten the mood in certain scenes where it would be better to keep it consistent. (Though it's true the OG novel lacks balance between light hearted moments and the absolutely miserable ones (as we don't get real breathers, it's just tragedy upon tragedy lately) she didn’t really found the right balance either in the adaptation. It’s not hating it’s just being real as for example; day time star artist Adapted her own style to fit “flower are bait” since it’s a angst/ psychological vibe. I’m not being disrespectful just being passionate I’m still going to read it! Just voicing my opinion. Like the corsets and head piece definitely give mediaeval but the background??
