@second.chance.hor: STERLING UPDATE: Sterling is a three year old emaciated rescue horse we rescued over a week ago. She’s had a long battle with typical obstacles of a starved horse, but she’s always had a very severe sinus infection. It was getting better before it got much worse yesterday. Sterling’s sinuses have started to swell again. We’ve maxed out on medicinal options and have decided to proceed with a surgery. It is not without risks, but if we are able to drain out all of the infection, we believe it will give the antibiotics and steroids a chance to do their job.
