@thriive.hc: Replying to @Lurch27 maintenance is arguably much harder than a deficit and the unfortunate fact that many don't want to hear is that there will almost always been a small amount of regain as our body regulates out of stress mode (ie deficit mode) this is one of the many (and one of the most important) stages that working 1:1 with a coach can help you 🫶 #maintenance #nutritionist #metabolism #metabolicadaptation
Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate your advice. I’ll give these strategies a go, and try not to freak out with a recalculated maintenance break 🙏

I love that you explain things like I’m an idiot, without ever actually making me feel like an idiot.

this was very insightful 🖤 I'm 5"2 and about 78kg, I used a TDEE calculator to calculate my defect of 1522 cals. I'm fairly sedentary due to chronic illness but I do some housework, study, hydrotherapy and exercise physiology. I think that's probably pretty reasonable for my circumstances. This defect has worked in the past and I'm planning to go back on it now that I've worked out some weird allergy stuff 😅 it did suggest 1772 cals for mild weight loss so maybe I'll see how I go with that first.

I’m 5 foot and 62kg, been in a deficit for 6 months today. My tdee maintenance is 1506 and have been doing deficit calories at approx 1000-1100. My weight loss has slowed/stalled. If it’s because I was in a deficit for too long how do I fix my metabolism without stacking on the weight?
