She drank dirty water from the ground. And yet, every time someone waved, she ran over, begging for affection. When I arrived, she immediately circled me, acting cute and asking for help. The moment I opened a can of food, she devoured it, proof of just how long she had been starving. Stories like this are more common than you think, happening in apartment complexes and neighborhoods all across the U.S. At the vet, we discovered she's under one year old and relatively healthy, aside from ear mites. That means she was likely someone's lost or abandoned pet. Now safe at our rescue base, Bai Fei is finally living comfortably, eating well, staying clean, and slowly recovering from her time on the streets. After a bath, she's transformed into what can only be described as a soft, fluffy 'little cake.' But her journey isn't over. Exotic Shorthair cats require patience, care, and love.
