@unplannedtripz: ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Staying at a place for months on end is one thing. But constantly on the road changes things. It Started to feel like more of a chore than a vacation. Things breaking, prices going up, all the little things no one talks about. I will always keep the rv just because “the few times I do use it. I’m so glad I do have one” But if I did it all over again…I honestly don’t know if I get one #rvtiktok #towin #nomads
Campgrounds started charging hotel prices during Covid and just haven’t come back to reality

I use to flirt with the idea of an RV. However the majority of content about RVs is people doing videos of repairing leaks and complaining about camp rental prices. I will stick with a hotel. I honestly think there was a period RVs were a good value but like many things that time has come and went.

I always said that there is no reason for a campsite to be charging more than $35 per night when you just borrow a parking a lend a bit of water and electricity. I stay as much as possible at state parks.

I’ve been traveling all over the country with a camper for the last 6 years and using the rv has always been cheaper than renting and driving or flying. People travel differently though.

Ridiculous what private campgrounds are charging. Go to State campgrounds there cheaper.

Rv parks used to be reasonable. Then the rv life started getting popular from all the influencers bragging about how cheap it was… now here we are.

Look into harvest host it’s like 80 bucks a year but allows you to stay at select places with no additional expenses

Tbh it only adds up if you’re constantly on the road making per diem and are tired of hotels. I did hotels for 2 years. My truck payment and camper payment are less than hotels and I have my own bed and kitchen

Stay in national parks . State parks 12-20 bucks a day. And they have electric and water hook ups. . If you plan on going to the rv resorts that are the best of the best then yes it’s expensive. . Also if your full time then your not traveling from Texas to Florida in one day . Stay a few days In Louisiana. Stay In Georgia for a week.and when you get to Florida stay there as long as you want till you get to tired of that place then go to the next place.
