I know this is the bare minimum, but at least she’s upset about it and recognizes the harm she’s caused. One other lady I saw was constantly asking if she was gonna be out in time to go to class the next day, despite knowing she killed someone. I have a friend who I dated off an on for decades, whose younger brother killed 2 young women jn a DUI accident. He was 20 years old at the time, and ended up serving about 15 years of his 22 year sentence. While in jail, and after he was released, he toured with one of the victim’s mothers, to different high schools around the country to talk about drinking and driving. He did a terrible thing, but it was amazing that that mother was able to turn the event into a teachable moment for others.
