we experienced the same last week. the worst part was where the line formed because there are no signs, no people directing, etc. Once we made to the "stantion" part of the line, it went pretty quickly. They were not allowing families traveling with children under 18 to use the e-gates, and that's where the line split for electronic passage vs. presenting to an officer.

We had to stand on the line for more than 1 hour but eventually they had to let everyone pass through quickly because all the passengers were stuck in queue. It's ridiculous

Flew back from T1 yestersday. If you head through passport control and not hang around the food courts then 3 hours is plenty just watch they switch gate numbers a lot and there is no announcements
