@fanduel: Shohei Ohtani was all of us watching this weird moment in the Dodgers-Mets game 😅 #shoheiohtani #MLB #funny

Minister Mike :

I’m confused. Help me understand

whatsthepoint88 :

TLDR; The CATCHER called a timeout and the PITCHER didn’t realize this and was in the middle of his throwing motion. Causing the CATCHER to do something we’ve never seen before to stop him from throwing a ball that won’t be catched

ForTheHomies :

Baseball loves devious little tactics. Shohei is arguably the best baseball player at the moment. Batting is really difficult, though Shohei knocks weird balls out of the park. The opposing team is actively trying to throw him off because they think he acts best in a controlled methodical environment.

Mitchellskog :

can someone explain? was it a timeout?

LiamJimson :

Jamesuuru :

catcher called time but the pitcher was locked in looking to the side and is going to throw the pitch because he didnt see that time was called, so thats why he reacted that way. I have no idea why the announcer freaked out, but yeah thats it

Kobra Gaming :

Baseball is getting to the point of unrecognizable moments for me. Haven’t watched in awhile and just confused with timers and everything else happening

Diana :

I haven’t seen it either… What happened?

crosbylane2 :

What happened?

Ma Dusa :

I still “Have Never Seen That” what tf did I miss? Watched way too many times and comment surfed only to still be confused

Bent4121 :

Chastain, NASCAR, video game move

Curtis :

Can we please post videos with context.

RealisRareFakeisEverywhere75 :

That ump was out real quick..lol

Simple Man :

That'll freak you out when you know he can throw a hundred miles an hour pitch.😳

HolyCHUCKIE :

GOOGLE SAYS: Mets catcher Francisco Álvarez called timeout during the April 14, 2026, game against the Dodgers to prevent an automatic ball for a pitch clock violation. With one second left and reliever Craig Kimbrel not ready, Alvarez ran toward the mound, nearly getting hit when Kimbrel started his motion anyway.

yahtzebruh :

Fearmegu :

John cena on second base.

Devon Miles :

With how much this dude has been hit by the ball yeah, I'd freak out too.

Gabriel Mendez :

Pitcher was about to run out of time and the catcher couldn’t get his attention when he called time

mmk665 :

Hit Me If You Can :
