@savxcreative: A Real-Life Ghost Town 👻 Bodie State Historic Park located in Mono County was a California gold mining community turned ghost town, leaving behind old houses, shops, and a large stamp mill. Since the mine cave was found in 1875, up until the town was abandoned by 1942, Bodie was a short-lived boomtown and now remains a state park for visitors to visit and learn about the town’s history. Source: parks.ca.gov This town was WAY larger than I thought it would be and I easily spent an hour just wandering around all the buildings and old roads. The drive is a bit of a detour from any major city or destination, but if you happen to be on the US-395 by Yosemite, it’s worth a visit!
