As a swede, I’ve never had lingonberry jam on my pancakes. And I’ve actually never heard about that combo before. We usually eat it with strawberry jam or queens jam (drottningsylt)

Everything was absolutely perfect until the lingonberries. But I get where it’s coming from, it’s very common as a condiment to oven pancakes, which are thicker and usually have pork. Might be where the confusion comes from.

Lingonberry jam for oven pancakes with bacon. Fläskpannkaka=pork pancake. Normal pannkakor gets strawberry/blueberry/raspberry jam (or the one that mixes several called queens jam)

Pancake on thursday is absolutely a thing still, at least in the military when its served after peasoup. Lingonberry on pancakes is however not common at all. Lingonberry jam is for meatballs or other savory meals but you would have strawberry, raspberry or maybe drottningssylt on pancakes
