America is a capitalist country. Advocating for improvement and adding social programs is all you can do. You're not going to convince America to not be capitalist anymore. That's an idealistic and naive approach. The whole world has bought into global capitalism.

It seems theirs is the best method for actuating change and awakening class consciousness in non-hyper political working class people. I do not think the Democratic Party will be the party they want to create, but it can be used as a vessel to amass the support and understanding needed to transition to an anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist representative government.

my god, its almost like you are describing what things are like now as being the reason why we cant make things different in the future. it sounds good, but its not an actually logical argument. not to mention, the DNC wants to win elections, its not about swaying the political class its about swaying enough of their constituents to make it impossible to hide how the DNC is purely working for donors and corporate interests. thats when systemic election victories with coordinated support and endorsements from existing successful elections guide the disillusioned dem voters towards actually shifting the party left until the only people left are either believers or they jumped into the bandwagon to avoid being left behind. thats electoral politics. the DNC is far closer to that than people realize because Kamalq could have won if she shifted left on Gaza. easy. but she didnt. so she lost. thats what people tell me anyway, I don't know if thats actually true but its definitely what people say, right? that the far left lost the Dems the election?
