I felt my weakness, humbled in the presence of ancient dominance. I was small. But this… this was apex. Being so close to this raw moment was transformational. Personal. Yet these moments touch other lives. A life was lost so that another can continue. It is the way of things, though the world seems less when some magic is gone. My heart always holds space for the lost.
