like restaurants have systems .. unless it’s a small diner or something with only 6 table and one server .. you can’t just assume someone will see you and know what’s going on

i had a party of 30 come in, i pushed a bunch of tables together and sat them and walked away, and then they proceeded to grab another table in the room, moved all the kids menus and sat the kids there without saying anything

Also as someone in the service industry, if they choose to move or seat themselves, I don’t see them🤷🏽♀️they’re not getting served
