For those confused: 👉 A driver at a stop sign must yield to all traffic on the highway they’re entering or crossing. 👉 If you were already on the divided highway (even turning left across it) and had no stop sign, you are considered traffic on the highway. 👉 That means they should not pull out until you’ve cleared and it’s safe. So in the situation you described: You: already in the roadway, no stop sign → have right of way Them: at a stop sign → must yield to you
