How is it off roading with a CVT, not to hate, but i myself have a Subaru. I have a Subaru Forrester 2014 2.5i, I would love some input from other Subaru owners on how good my car is with no X drive (only AWD) and cvt transmission

You should definitely get a skid plate. It only takes one rock to leave you stranded on the trail - even more so if you have a CVT transmission, you’re really gonna want a skid plate there too because the pan is extremely vulnerable.

I kind of get why you said situational about the tires, but they’re a HUGE peace of mind thing any time I get off pavement because I just don’t worry about punctures in the same way I did with stock tires. Makes a big difference in the desert, but definitely has been helpful up in the mountains.
