I'm 42 and he just turned 35. been together 17 months. we've discussed marriage, but agreed it's best to wait until we have all of our financial obligations (student loans, court fines, etc...) taken care of first; that way, if something happened to one of us God forbid, the other wouldn't be stuck with more debt
