@whatilovetodo: The Sombrero is BACK… now entering the pillow saga 😅 Part 1: Griffin vs. the pillows… he keeps taking the pillowcases off and shredding them 🫠 We’re on a mission to find something that actually works and keeps the pillow safe 💛 stay tuned… #PillowSaga #SpecialNeedsMom #AngelmanSyndrome #RealLifeMom
Have you tried putting something in his bed that he can tear up like some old fabric or something? I know it’s gonna be a hassle but it may put his focus on from trying to escape his pyjamas and ripping up his pillow to that old fabric

Could you put the pillow under the fitted sheet that you have to lock down in his safety bed? X

Maybe sew one shut and just remove the stitching for cleaning

Perhaps king size pillow cases so you have a bit more length to put fasteners on, and do some sort of tuck one end in and button, hook and eye, buckle the one end and then fold over the other side and seal it down with buckles and Velcro or independent short pieces of rope tied in knots?

I was about to comment that sewing with the adhesive is going to be really frustrating. 😂

Can you super glue the fabric? Like a waterproof material you could wash?

Zipper under the Velcro? Coz would have to fully get the Velcro open to an end which might be harder?

mymysaffroni :
get a 100% cotton pillow protector that zips shut, sew the zipper pull so it is locked down and won't unzip. Put several regular pillowcases over it.

Try dual zippers with a small lock and lock the zippers.

Maybe try a fabric pillow. Like stuff a zipper pillow case with a blanket or fabric scraps to create a pillow that he can’t really destroy/would be the least dangerous if he were to destroy it. Also you can put any of his destroyed pyjamas is it as stuffing also

Sew the first pillow case shut then add one with velcro to be able to wash it.

You could do it where the Velcro is one side and then the next pillowcase goes over that Velcro and the other Velcro is then on the other side. Hope that makes sense.
