I went through 12 years of Catholic school. I dont remember ever being taught the Bible except when I had confirmation. we had to recite a passage of the Bible to the Bishop if chosen. I was taught Catholic doctrine. I was kicked out of the club after I got divorced. I now follow the bible.

When I was grade school right before I took confirmation, we were learning about other religions. We were studying other religions as well as the Catholic religion. I was in a Catholic school, that's where I decided that I didn't want to be Catholic. I wanted to pursue another religion and living in a strict Catholic family. I was forced into the Catholic faith from my parents. However, I'm divorced now, and I would have to beg the church for me to be able to go back fully into the Catholic faith, which is why I've never really gone back. I just pursued my spirituality, and do my own thing. So it's not really surprising so much, because to me, I think all religion should be able to get along. And we should respect one another.
