Hanahan City Councilman Kevin Phillip Hedgpeth was arrested Tuesday morning. Authorities say he used social media accounts to communicate with teens and ask them to send him explicit pictures and videos. In one set of exchanges over Snap Chat, Hedgpeth is accused of asking a 13-year-old boy to pose naked with his 15-year-old brother in exchange for money. A review of bank activity alleges Hedgpeth paid numerous children who appeared to be victims of sexual exploitations. This is a breaking news story.
