Endless views, gorgeous wildlife, rugged coastlines, beautiful lochs and epic scenery, there is something for everyone 🌊⛰️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💚PLEASE REMEMBER💚 Travel responsibly. Many of these beautiful places are home to local communities, remember to take your litter home, respect the locals, drive &d park responsibly & leave no trace. Please check out the ‘Scottish Outdoor Access Code’ for more info! 📆 You need a minimum of 5 days, for this road trip but we would recommend 7 - 10 to explore the NC500 comfortably. 🚗THE ROUTE The NC500 is roughly a 516 mile (830 km) loop that starts and ends in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. ROAD TRIP DETAILS👇🏼 📍1. Duncansby Stacks The most spectacular spot on the East Coast! 📍2. Dunnet Head Lighthouse The most northerly tip of mainland UK! 📍3. Kylesku Bridge This bridge is part of the NC500 route & is surrounded by beautiful views! 📍4. Achmelvich Beach A gorgeous white sand beach! Be wary of the VERY narrow road. 📍5. Allt Chranaidh Waterfall Visit early in the morning to avoid crowds, it’s easy to miss on the route! 📍6. Ardvreck Castle Located on a loch with a beautiful beach next to it! 📍7. Bealach na Ba pass The most dramatic road! Proceed with caution. It’s a very narrow road with limited passing places. Not suitable for motorhomes and caravans! 📍8. Gruinard Bay A beautiful area on the west coast, perfect for beach lovers! 📍9. Eilean Donan Castle Technically this one is a bit off the NC500, but oh my goodness it’s an absolutely breathtaking castle and a must see!
