For those asking: the traditional way to become a bartender is you move up from a server. The bar and management usually see you’re good and wanna move you up and you get to train under them and the bartender. -how it happened for me and I’m so thankful for it.

Every bar I’ve ever worked at MADE us use jiggers but I have a LOT of practice free pouring from my training and classes 🥺

I have always held the bottle with the spout between my middle and index finger and turn my wrist outwards to pour. I have also always used my left hand to pour even though I am right handed.

We don’t pour like this in aus! I’d love to know how you do it, do you count to measure? We use a measuring cup so every drink is the same. Customer is happy they weren’t shorted and bosses are happy there is no wastage but it’s slower then your way.
