As much as I as monica deserved to have her โownโ baby. The writers put this in to show the different ways people can have children and still be called their own. Pheobe was a part of surrogacy, rachel and ross conceived naturally, and monica and chandler adopted. And all of them was just as beautiful โค๏ธ

Adopted children are very much the real children of who adopted them. The comments saying that they wish Monica had โher ownโ kid is very rude and distasteful. She and chandler did have their own kid. Doesnโt matter if it came out her uterus or not.

i actually think the beauty this twist brings is that it makes people see that sometimes this is the reality people have to suffer from and that lifeโs not always rainbows and sparkles. Although, we all knew how much Monica wanted to have a child of her own, but, this shows how much appreciation and awareness should be given to basic gifts we have and others canโt have.

The infertility and adoption was Courtney Cox's request. She had been going thru years of miscarriages and didn't want to have a pregnancy storyline.

The most heartbreaking thing is that Monica in Friends cannot have a baby, even though the actress has a child in real life, while Rachel has Emma in Friends but cannot have a baby in real life.
