I had a friend (aka situationship) coming with me from another school- I bought our tickets, made matching corsage and buttonhole and had even bought him a matching tie for my dress because I figured it wasn’t fair if he paid considering it wasn’t his prom/formal. He cancelled the week before to go to an 18th for a friend of a friend. I was shattered but I still went. Whilst the actual dance was pretty bad, I loved getting dressed up, doing hair and makeup, photos etc. i’m sorry you’re going through this lovely I feel you. If you can find something in this that you’re excited for even a little moment it’s worth it. Don’t let that gorgeous dress go to waste 💛

my son went Friday with 1 friend.. left with new friends and had his 1st dance with a girl! go and have fun!! remember after graduation in a few weeks you wont see 98% of them ever again!! I told my son GO and have fun!!! dance, be silly, take the pics, ask the girl to dance!! he did it all and said it was the best night of his life!!!

I went to prom by myself and had a blast...I was terrified but then realized I could have all the prom fun without any of the prom drama. I didn't find out id be going alone until my hair had already been done...my sister said the smartest thing...dont let someone else's choice dim your enjoyment or light...so I didn't.
