I’m a case manager for an insurance company and we have been trying to help people for years. You can only help those who want help and the fact that this takes priority over systems already in place is scary.

that's crazy, they act like those outcomes aren't heavily determined by the patients compliance and behavior

And how is the patient going to manage all of this without access to technology?

This will fail the patient but will make these companies and their shareholder plenty of $$$. I’m so tired of being nothing more than a resource to be taken advantage of for corporate ate shareholder gain.

They will spend money on this but won’t spend money on your actual care. I hire an ins company for coverage not to be my dr

Medical Dietitians :
As a dietitian and diabetes educator who owns my own private practice and sees a ton of Medicare, clients with diabetes and kidney disease and has pretty good outcomes. This makes me nervous because now large companies are going to take a ton of business potentially away from me. And I have worked for those companies in the past and the quality of care is not as good so patients will end up losing too.

Except one thing patients respond to the relationship with their provider and not emails from tech companies or phone calls from strangers.

my private insurance company tried to this and I sent them a certified letter stating that I was not interested and if they kept calling me and mailing me things it would be considered harassment and corrosion. I have not heard from them since.

I'm a therapist. CMS is doing the something similar that necessitated an outside company to monitor and call our patients every 2 weeks to follow up on their home exercise program and document it. If we don't participate, we get 7% less reimbursement. it wasn't enough that we as therapists followed up at every single therapy appointment and documented that they appeared to be compliant with their home exercise program.
