Berdasarkan kesaksian yang disampaikan pihak keluarga, orang tersebut disebut menunjuk-nunjuk sambil meminta sejumlah uang untuk membeli koran medianya. Pihak keluarga mengaku khawatir atas kejadian tersebut dan berharap ada bantuan warga untuk mengidentifikasi serta menindaklanjuti dugaan intimidasi tersebut. Namun, identitas dan status orang yang bersangkutan sebagai wartawan masih perlu diverifikasi lebih lanjut.
