@allyssaamariee: I feel this is a really important conversation as not only as Christian women but men as well. filling that God-sized hole with the one it’s intended for is so important 🤍 #christiantiktok #christiangirl #christianwomen #christianlife #jesussaves
If you feel convicted wearing bikinis or posting pictures then thats between you and God, but I fear we should stop telling young girls they are only doing it for validation... Never have I ever posted a picture for validation, some women do yes... but its very silly to say all women post or wear bikinis for validation from others. The world isnt black and white like that, why dont we look at men the same way? Do you have the same to say for a man not wearing a shirt at all to the beach? Is he looking for validation?

I’m not sure! I love taking photos with my close friends at the beach and sharing them online, I don’t always have my coverup on! And I’m just trying to share what I’m up to!

Totally agree ✨ i honestly feel convicted watching this as i was planning to post about my recent beach trip. But I’m a Christian, and I know what matters more to me. Very timely, and much needed advise.

im 18 years old. my mom is a pastor, I also have my own relationship with God, and one thing my parents taught me is to never sink validation from others, and I really love your take on this. I'm definitely following you ❤️

I agree with this, but this standard even applies to crop tops, short dresses, deep dresses, anything that would bring glory to your body.

While i see your point, modesty is commanded but the specifics are convictional. there is no direct right way to be “modest”. When it comes to what people post i personally don’t find it appropriate to say just because someone is wearing something you might be convicted to not wear, doesn’t meant that they are. There are 100% truly born again christians who might view modesty differently than others and don’t look for attention/validation or cause them to stumble. I agree modesty is very important however there are not very specific instructions therefore pointing the finger on a topic that there isn’t 100% a right answer to our know knowledge it’s very important to discuss with that in mind!

Sis you're very wrong when you said posting is for seeking validation for "men" how did it get to that??! I get and agree with what you're saying. But I have posted pictures that are yes look flattering and looking very beautiful and trust me ain't doing it to get validation from any men not even my husband(love him though).

I was extremely shamed for my body as a child wearing a tankini “causing men to stumble” so… my opinion is a little different. I say if it’s a bikini you’d wear in public at the beach, then how is it different posting online? Our bodies are beautiful and made in His image, it is not shameful
