I’m sure somewhere there was a blow out…you know like with the Explorers (which is the reason we now have TPMS crap) and they blamed a plug…I’ve used them…like you said they will likely outlive the tire.

That’s why I buy from Canadian tire. Road hazard warranty. Have had tires repaired the right way, no charge.

since the age of 6 years old I've known how to use one of those and I've never had a problem but the shop down the road that did the same thing for my brother-in-law's tire the plug popped out while we were driving so it failed that shop I don't know how that's possible I've never had one fail
