This is such a common DM I see! I like to tell parents that about their 10-15% of babies are super flexible with naps. They can nap anywhere doing anything and see no struggle. But that is NOT the majority, and seeing those babies out and about when you don’t HAVE a baby like that is so hard ❤️Most babies truly do thrive with a routine that prioritizes sleep. You’re doing great. Keep leaning in to what you know YOUR baby needs!

This is me because I have a high sleep needs 5.5 month old...with ONE HOUR wake windows still and the only way we are getting 12 hours at night is if he gets his daytime sleep! I talk about nap.math all day and everyone looks at me like im insane but until this boy figures out life, here we are 🤣

Babies I feel are truly only adaptable until a certain age! 0-3 months? Could nap basically anywhere. 4 months and up? Nope we follow wake windows to a teeeeee and now that he’s 9 months old he’s on a relatively set schedule/rhythm and idc if anyone thinks it’s crazy it saves my sanity lol

I want my baby to take her naps through out the day on schedule, but do it on a walk, in the car, poolside, etc. trying to get best of both worlds.

I think people drastically underestimate how different personalities in babies can change things like this! Like just because they had some sort of miracle child does not mean mine is so easy going!!!

Im a mom of 3 (just had my 3rd) totally get it! Im very strict with their schedule, always have been. I didnt care that people thought i was crazy lol. Try not to stress though, you can stay on schedule but dont stress! Congrats momma
