Fun fact: the cenotes were partially formed by the Chixulub impact, the same event that killed the dinosaurs! Basically, the impact accelerated the process of their formation by creating a vast system of unstable rock

It is a beautiful culture! Also a little tip, a common misconception is calling them Mayan. Mayan only refers to the language, everything else is Maya. 😁
